Fascinating Things to Follow

Innocent's Journey

Everyone interested in primatology noticed when a huge group of gorillas was killed in Eastern Congo/Rwanda last summer.  It's a protected area, there are tons of rangers, and people seem to forget -- even people who pay their $300 just for a permit -- that just on the other side of the mountains is utter chaos and mayhem.

I've met a lot of vets and rangers who work with the gorillas, so it's been chilling and nerve-wracking to follow the story, but it's definitely worth it.
